The weir on the River Calder, Wakefield
The weir on the River Calder, Wakefield
Viewed from The Hepworth Wakefield, an art gallery that opened in 2011. In the distance is the spire of Wakefield Cathedral, or the Cathedral Church of All Saints. Originally the parish church, it has Anglo Saxon origins and after enlargement and rebuilding has the tallest spire in Yorkshire. It is a Grade I listed building.
