Waymarker, Two Saints Way
Waymarker, Two Saints Way
The Way links the cathedral cities of Chester (St Werburgh) and Lichfield (St Chad) and was conceived as a pilgrimage route. Unusually the Way has a separate waymarker for each direction of travel, the cross of St Chad (seen here) appears when walking towards Lichfield, the goose of St Werburgh LinkExternal link for the opposite direction.
