Bounds Green underground station
Bounds Green underground station
One of the stations designed by Charles Holden for the Underground extensions of the 1930s (the overall design concept for the Underground being directed at this time by Frank Pick). Like his other 1930s stations (and in contrast to those he designed in the 1920s for the Northern line extension southwards) the dominant material is brown brick, heavily influenced by the civic modernism that thrived at this time in Scandinavia and the Netherlands.
