Altered early 18th century Grade II Listed public house. A former coaching inn and hotel probably dating back to the 17th century it was in existence in 1720 and probably the second oldest continuously named inn in St Ives. 1847 to after 1854 the inn keeper is William Stafford. By the 1881 census records William Stevens as Dealer In Horses & Hotel Proprietor.
