Remains of RAF Hayscastle Cross
Remains of RAF Hayscastle Cross
The site was home to an RAF radar station between 1940 and 1945, then remaining non-operational until the site closed in 1957. It was part of the West Coast Chain Home Station network, monitoring air traffic in the southern Irish Sea. This view, looking north from the road between Hayscastle Cross and Brimaston, shows the remains of the domestic buildings.
