Road crossing the dam in Chillington Park
Road crossing the dam in Chillington Park
The road in Chillington Park crosses the dam which was built to create The Pool in Chillington Park. It is known as 'The Pool' but actually it is one of the largest lakes created by landscaper, 'Capability' Brown who landscaped this park in the 1760s. This lake was created by damming the valley and flooding three existing smaller lakes.
