Mysterious hollow above Whatlington Road
The photo shows the centre and far bank of a circular hollow just south of the public footpath above Whatlington Road. It is about the size of an average field pond but is unlikely ever to have held water in the position it occupies. Possible a WWII bomb crater, or even (unlikely) a meteor crater. Any other explanations welcome
