Glacial boulder on Scales Moor
Glacial boulder on Scales Moor
This remarkable perched boulder is a prominent landmark on the limestone pavements of the moor. Surprisingly, it does not feature on OS maps (unlike a near neighbour embedded in the boundary wall). The upper slopes of Ingleborough rear up from the unseen depths of Chapel-le-Dale.
