Blists Hill Victorian Town - not all it seems!
This is the set of three abreast gallopers built in 1911 by Walkers of Tewkesbury. The 1893 Savage centre engine was fitted in 1966.

The driver's hand is on the throttle valve and he did occasionally give it a turn, which is interesting because the engine was absolutely static although the ride was whirling gaily round. That's because the driver's other hand was adjusting the rheostat for the electric motor that was really doing the work.
