Blists Hill Victorian Town - fireclay mine
Blists Hill Victorian Town - fireclay mine
This is a relatively new attraction with a small train going into the 'mine' to see an animation projected on the wall that depicts the travails of a fireclay miner - his work lit only by a candle and at risk from roof falls and outbreaks of chokedamp. The train is being propelled by a battery electric locomotive and is the work of Alan Keef of Ross-on-Wye.
