SP9315 : Looking toward the Museum Shop at Pitstone Green Museum
taken 9 years ago, near to Pitstone, Buckinghamshire, England

Pitstone Green Farm was gifted to the National Trust in 2001 and is now part of the Ashridge Estate. The farm buildings are leased to the Pitstone and Ivinghoe Museum Society as a Heritage Park which holds open days between Easter and September. For details see their web site Link
The Museum includes displays relating to the history of the aresa, and a range of workshops for trades such as the wheelwright, the blacksmith, and the cobbler, and an interesting collection of farm implements. There is a model railway showing what railways were like in the days of steam, and a model of a canal wharf and pumping station. One open days there are rides and other exhibits - which may vary from time to time.
