A display of vintage seats

On display here are various old petrol and oil cans and the seats of vintage tractors and other farm implements. Modern tractors are, of course, supplied with far more comfortable seats.

Strumpshaw Steam Museum Autumn Steam Engine Rally

This event was held in the grounds of Strumpshaw Hall which are also home to the Strumpshaw Steam Museum, first opened in 1964 and housing a large collection of steam engines started by Wesley Key, a farmer, agricultural engineer, pilot, entrepreneur and steam enthusiast, who in the early 1950s had started this collection. The museum houses 26 steam engines with the oldest dating from 1898. In 1970 the first steam rally was held at Strumpshaw.
