Black Park Model Boat regatta - members controlling boats
Club members and visitors controlling boats are spread out on the bank of the lake, mainly with folding chairs, a few tables, and an awning over one set of boats. The wooden bridge on the far right of the photo is across the outflow from the lake. Most of Black Park is woodland - deciduous in the photo, many areas of conifers also.
Black Park Model Boat regatta
Black Park Model Boat Club uses the lake in Buckinghamshire's Black Park near Iver and Langley twice a week. In early September they hold a regatta with members and other clubs showing off their radio-controlled boats - sailing , electric or steam, no internal combustion engines. As well as boats on the water there are static displays. A small area of the lake is partitioned off by floating booms and visitors, mainly children, can try their hand at controlling one of a small fleet of electric boats. The club has a website Linkand features on Model Boat Mayhem Link
which has photos and details of many model boats and clubs.
