Nottingham: St Mary
Nottingham: St Mary
St Mary's, in The Lace Market, is a large and fine 15th-century parish church (the second largest in Nottinghamshire), some of which was reworked in the 19th century. I usually pass this way in the morning or evening, when the sun is in the wrong part of the sky for a photo of this north side. In the foreground is the monument shown in more detail in SK5739 : St Mary's churchyard: 'Heroes with grimy faces'.
