The Exeter Arms, 28 Main Street, Barrowden
Grade II Listed former late 18th or early 19th century house. The first listed landlord is John Bates as 'timber & lime mercht. maltster, & vict.' 1828-70. Located in the outbuildings of the 'Exeter Arms', Barrowden Brewing Co. brewery started life in 1998 as the 'Blencowe Brewing Co.', operated by Peter Blencowe but changed its name in 2005 when landlord Martin Allsop purchased the company. The Brewery looks to have closed by the time the current owners took over The Exeter Arms in April 2016 and completed a number of refurbishments and redecorations to the pub and letting rooms.
