Two rather mutilated medieval piscinas in the Lady Chapel represent the only medieval stonework in the interior of the church.
Church of St Andrew, Aysgarth

Nominally a restoration, in practice the church is almost entirely new build of 1866, by James Green of Todmorden in a mix of Early English, Decorated and Perpendicular styles. Of the medieval church, the only significant remaining fabric is the lower part of the tower, dating from the 14th century.

The church consists of nave and chancel with aisles throughout, west tower and south porch.

Of particular interest are the screen dividing the Lady Chapel from the chancel and the reading desk adjacent. Both originated from Jervaulx Abbey, with which the church was associated, and are thought to from the Ripon School of
Carvers. The screen dates from around 1506. The reading desk incorporates two bench ends dated to the late 15th century, carved with the rebus of William Heslington, Abbot from 1472.

On the west wall of the nave is a large Victorian mural depicting Christ calling the Galilee fishermen to be 'Fishers of Men'.

The organ was built for £600 by Isaac Abbot of Leeds with a case carved by J.H. Thorp of Leeds from a design by J.M. Bottomley of Middlesbrough. It was opened in August 1880.

The church is Listed Grade II*.
