Bibury Telephone Exchange (2)
Bibury Telephone Exchange (2)
This photo shows the TE, whose two buildings are built of Cotswold Stone. The front building has a BT warning notice by the front door and ventilation louvres fitted at its front and side, presumably to keep it air-cooled. As this TE is hidden down a path off the B4425 road, anyone passing through the village could be forgiven for thinking that it does have a TE. Nowadays, tourists descend on the village to see the cottages in Arlington Row, which were acquired by The National Trust in 1949.
