NZ2062 : The GamekeeperThe Gamekeeper is an inn which has changed its names many times over the years. In the late 19th century it was the Buck Inn, famed as the showplace for the Swalwell Cabbage - a giant vegetable weighing in at 123lbs which won local allotment owner William Collingwood a first prize. 'Leek Shows' as they are known continue to be an annual event in many North East villages to this day.
