The Saxon Shore Way by Shornmead Fort
The Saxon Shore Way by Shornmead Fort
This is fairly soon after the start of the Saxon Shore Way after it has left Gravesend. There are impressive views across the Thames as it widens out into the estuary. Shornmead Fort is immediately inland - see LinkExternal link

The red and white structure is a navigational lighthouse. On the extreme right is Brett Aggregates on Higham Marshes.
