SD8694 : Hillside with groove

taken 9 months ago, 3 km from High Shaw, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Hillside with groove
Hillside with groove
The near slope, on the west side of the 'Buttertubs road' climbing out of Wensleydale, has the appearance of having being 'worked' for some mineral or for stone, but it's possible too that it could be natural. The view beyond is across the valley of Fossdale Gill to where Great Shunner Fell is seen hazily through mist.
