Stoney Middleton war memorial
Stoney Middleton war memorial
To the west of the church. Fourteen names are listed from WW1, without mention of rank or regiment, and four from WW2, similarly. Among the latter is John Nugent, who flew with the Dambusters. The memorial has several symbolic carvings on the cross; a wreath, flowers, cascading blooms, crossed swords and a curious item at the top.
