East lodge, Chillingham Castle
The Grade-II listed (ref. 1232783) (LinkExternal link ) Tudor-style lodge dating from 1828 actually lies almost due north of the castle some 300 m away. When we visited, the vicinity was plagued by swarms of aggressive flies, presumably associated with the cattle park next door.
