Dent Dale and Dent Head Viaduct

Dent Head Viaduct was built between 1869 and 1875 for the Midland Railway Company and carries the Settle to Carlisle Railway across the head of Dentdale. The viaduct is built from massive blocks of Dent marble and crosses over the quarry that produced it.
