The south side of the hall was originally the front. When that was changed in 1875 William Andrew Nesfield created a parterre on the former carriage drive. This formal garden is replanted every year.
Bodrhyddan Hall

The hall is the home of Lord Langford and his family who also own Rhuddlan Castle. It is Grade I listed LinkExternal link There are traces of buildings going back to the 1400s but the core of the present building dates from around 1696. Extensive remodelling took place in the 1870s and other alterations were made in the 1960s and in 1997.

The 8 acres of gardens are a mix of formal beds near the house (including a parterre designed by architect William Nesfield during his Victorian remodelling of the house) and more informal grounds further out which include an ancient holy well and a working farm.

The hall and grounds are usually open to the public on two days per week. At other times it opens for private parties and corporate events and it can be used as a wedding venue.
