The stepping stones in Dovedale
The stepping stones in Dovedale
The River Dove was very full and people were wary about crossing as the nearest stone and the ones on the far side were covered with water. Eventually some brave souls went over and some even passed in the middle. The stepping stones are one of the most famous sights of the Peak District and cross from one county to the next - this side being in Staffordshire and the far side in Derbyshire.
