SK1929 : Tramway remains

taken 9 months ago, near to Scropton, Derbyshire, Great Britain

Tramway remains
Tramway remains
The hedge-lined track just left of centre is where the tramway which linked RAF Fauld LinkExternal link to the railway line at Scropton used to run. It now forms the boundary between Tutbury and Hanbury parishes. It bears no relationship at all to traditional parish boundaries in the immediate area, which were complex with several detached areas and in some cases related to earlier courses of the River Dove.
