Peggy Bedford Biodiversity Site
Peggy Bedford Biodiversity Site
That's what it says on the name board at the entrance. Possibly a tad elaborate for a pleasant but unremarkable suburban park, but I guess by comparison with nearby Heathrow Airport it's fairly species rich.
Named after a former hotel nearby. The Peggy Bedford Hotel opened in 1928. It closed in 1994 and was demolished in 1995 to make way for a McDonald's restaurant and a petrol station.
