The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, Ingleton
The parish church, designed by Cornelius Sherlock dates principally from 1886 and is dedicated to St Mary the Virgin. It is built on the site of an earlier, Norman, church from which the twelfth century font remains. The oldest remaining part of the church building is the fifteenth century perpendicular style tower. The Norman church was rebuilt in 1743; this building itself being replaced by the current church in 1886. It is a Grade II* listed building (Historic England List entry Number: 1252726 LinkExternal link ).
