SE3913 : New Monckton Colliery No.4 Shaft

New Monckton Colliery No.4 Shaft
New Monckton Colliery No.4 Shaft
Situated alongside Tup Lane in Havercroft. This was possibly the upcast shaft as I can remember it being surrounded by a brick tower in a grassy and rubbly area back in the 1970s. Now overgrown with palisade fencing surrounding it these days.
