Flemish woodwork in St Dunstan-in-the-West
St Dunstan-in-the-West dates from 1829-1833 and is on the site of a church first mentioned in 1237. The present church lies further north because of street widening. The south tower with its famous octagon is based on the pattern of All Saints Pavement in York. The interior is impressive, especially the surround to the altar seen here which is Flemish woodwork of the early 16th century.
