One Small Cross
At the base of the Cenotaph in Whitehall a cross placed in memory of just one of the millions killed in WW1,
100 years to the day he was posted missing presumed dead. Corporal Saddler Edward Thomas Holden was sent to fight machine guns and artillery on horseback. He has no known grave.
