NZ1014 : Stepping stones across Whorlton Beck

taken 7 years ago, near to Whorlton, County Durham, England

Stepping stones across Whorlton Beck
Stepping stones across Whorlton Beck
Stepping stones on the route of the Teesdale Way just below the village of Whorlton. The beck drops some 30m in the last half mile or so of its course before meeting the Tees just a few metres below this crossing. Some of that descent has been cut through a thick layer of boulder clay, but at lower levels there is exposed rock.
