Douglas Dakota IV manufactured in Oklahoma City and entering service in February 1945. Power is produced by two Pratt & Whitney R1830 'Twin Wasp' radial engines. The Twin Wasp is a 14 cylinder, twin row, air cooled radial engine displacing 30 litres (1830 cubic inches). 173,618 units were built.
