Interior of St. Peter's Church, Grange Park
The church, which is located on Vera Avenue at the junction with Langham Gardens, was consecrated in 1941. The timber used in its construction and many of the fittings (including the pews, choir stalls, font and bell) were salvaged from churches in the City of London which were destroyed by the German Luftwaffe during the Blitz. St. Peter's was thus an early example of recycling and a rare example of civilian construction work during the Second World War.
