Cast iron post by the A67, in parish of HIGH CONISCLIFFE (DARLINGTON District), South East of entrance to Carlbury Hall, near Rock Cottage, in the verge, on South side of road. Durham county iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century.

Inscription reads:-
