taken 13 years ago, near to Tynemouth, North Tyneside, England

The ruins of Tynemouth Priory
The ruins of Tynemouth Priory
Originally founded sometime in the seventh century Tynemouth Priory was dissolved in 1539. In its prime, together with the adjacent castle this would have dominated this coastline, as Whitby would have done farther south.
