Threlkeld Quarry & Mining Museum - Sir Tom
Threlkeld Quarry & Mining Museum - Sir Tom
On the occasion of the Vintage Excavator Trust's operating weekend. Sir Tom was operating trains into the former quarry. Sir Tom is a Bagnall 0-4-0ST built in 1926 for BICC and worked until 1968. Threlkeld is well worth a visit on one of the special events and there is usually a major event with visiting locomotives in July.
