The building on the left was built in 1887 as Sunday School and Institute for the Methodist Chapel Link , later becoming part of Leeds Polytechnic. It is now a Wetherspoon's pub – The Hedley Verity Lloyds No.1.
The tower block was built for the Leeds Polytechnic.
