Former bank now flats
Former bank now flats
This was built for the Midland Bank in 1922 and is typical of the style of single storey pavilions with classical detail which that bank put up in many towns. Brick with stone dressings is common; the stone here is a beach deposit, sandy with shells. Later it became the HSBC Bank and closed in 2016 (leaving only one bank in the town). It has now been converted to flats. SO6554 : Bromyard - HSBC Bank.
