Kessock Ferry Disaster memorial
This stone is in memory of the South Kessock Ferry Disaster, of 23rd February 1894. The memorial was erected last year.

The ferry was crossing from North to South Kessock on the evening of 23rd February 1894, when it was caught in a storm. A coastguard boat was sent to rescue them, but both boats overturned. Three ferrymen and three coastguards were drowned, only two men survived.
