Railway Fencing on Bridport Branch Line (3)
This fencing is alongside the old track bed of the Maiden Newton to bridport Branch line at Wytherston Wood. The fence posts consist of two sheet metal halves riveted together with a cast finial on top. Fence wire ran through a number of holes in each sheet. A metal bracing arm shown in this image at the bottom of each post, goes into the ground at 45 degrees and was used to increase stability.
