Bridge Over Course of Old Railway, Lazenby Bank
The narrow gauge mineral railway was built in 1915 to replace an underground waggonway connecting the mines of Eston and Chaloner near Guisborough. The waggonway had become unstable due to mining works. The line was operated by three stationary 300hp electric motors. The bridge carries the Lazenby Bank Road which is now a Public Bridleway but was once the principal route between Eston and Guisborough.
