Long Horse Bridge
Long Horse Bridge
The bridge was built in 2011 as a replacement for the old towpath bridge spanning the River Trent and giving access to the Trent and Mersey Canal. This was demolished because of deteriorating condition. The new bridge is sited some 140 metres upstream and cannot sensibly be used for towing non-powered craft using the traditional canal and river navigation.
