On the right of the photo are the remains of the 12th-14th Century Bolton Abbey, more properly St Mary's Priory. Grade I listed - see LinkExternal link. The former nave (the section of the building in the centre of the photo) is still in use as St Mary's Church and is separately grade I listed - see LinkExternal link.

On the left is the Old Rectory. Dating from the 15th Century it was originally the priory infirmary, Grade II* listed - see LinkExternal link.
