Adjacent to the wall of Tower Apartments, Holderness Road is a K8 telephone kiosk, designed by Bruce Martin in 1965. Of some 11,000 installed across the country between 1968 and 1983, it is reported that about 50 survive today, most of which are located within the former Hull Corporation Telephones area. In the background, left, Tower Grange, Nos.711-717 Holderness Road, a late-Victorian mansion. In 2007, the City Council approved the refurbishment of the existing property and erection of a two-storey extension to the rear to provide fourteen apartments.
