Duncryne Hill

Duncryne Hill offers a lot of view for very little effort. Townies like me can leave the comfort of a car and walk 550 metres, ascending a mere 80 metres in the process, and be rewarded with spectacular views of Loch Lomond and the south Highlands to the north and the Campsie Fells to the south. Just like a real mountain climber.

It takes less than 20 minutes to reach the summit and in good weather there is no need for crampons, survival gear, ice-picks, ropes or any of that other clobber, just sturdy footwear and a little care.
