Snow on Niddry Castle golf course
Snow on Niddry Castle golf course
A mineral railway once crossed the ground between the trees and Niddry Castle from the Edinburgh to Glasgow main line close to the bridge which is just visible between the foreground trees, to serve Oakbank Oil Works (see LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) . The golf course was originally 9-hole but now extends beyond Niddry Castle as an 18-hole course. See LinkExternal link for more information on the history of Niddry Castle.
