The garden was created by members of Greener Callander following the demolition of the public conveniences by Stirling Council in 2011.

The quartz pebbles in the centre are reminders of the freshwater pearls that were harvested from the River Teith until the late 19th century.

The Walling Wave on the right was built by local volunteers and members of the West of Scotland Dry Stone Walling Association LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) in 2013.

In the background a group of poets attending the annual Callander Poetry Weekend organised by the people at King's Bookshop NN6207 : King's Bookshop are enjoying an open air recital NN6207 : Open air poetry in Callander.
