Pit wheel memorial, Lynemouth
The pit wheel, on ground off Bridge Street, commemorates the mining history of the local community. The wheel originated from the Daw Mill Colliery in Warwickshire which closed in 2013. Lynemouth's own colliery closed in 1994. (link to newspaper article: LinkExternal link )
