These large blocks have detached from the small scar and settled on the flat grassy shelf just below. Some of them are large enough to provide sport for boulderers who don't mind 'sit-starts' or desperate traversing inches off the floor. This was a brief interlude of sunshine between squalls of rain or snow which were dusting the higher fells beyond on this cold, windy afternoon.
